Blues was the first flavour of Brother Goose. The band was put together when Big Goose approached Craig Claxton from the Mercury's; and Ian Wilks ex Spirits; to form a band so that he and Little Goose could get back together again and play some solid grooves like the old Chain, Wild Cherries and Renee Geyer days!

The result was astounding. The band wrote over ten songs in the first couple of months. The addition of Owen Gray on piano and keyboards rounded the unit out - tons of keys, big vocals and a whole heap of cheek!

The blues and roots gave way to shuffle and swing. Before anyone realised the outfit had set Australian boogie-woogie and rock off in another direction. All based on a solid bed of groove - and you never really can get enough!

The loss of Big Goose late in 2003 was a huge shock to everyone! Fortunately the band decided to continue the legend forward and commit the new material to live performance - Australian rock and blues will never be quite the same again! Owen Gray departed the band in search of his own solo career early in 2004.

Kevin Howard from The Mercury's, has willingly stepped into to play bass for Brother Goose. Kevin's passion for solid groove and feels complements the band - the essence of the Brother Goose soul is totally preserved.

Brother Goose have been extremely well received and are working towards the release of the second album. All the material has been written and arranged ready for recording mid year 2004.
